Style and fashion trends

The first man and woman were naked, upon realizing their nakedness and because of the snake's slyness, the first humans fashioned clothes from fig leaves. After being kicked out by their almighty landlord also known as God, both man and woman lived in the wild, because of the many environmental factors they came about to fashioning themselves garments out of animal fur. Fast forward to this era where man still fashion clothes from animal skin only the availability of faux materials make it seem more reasonable. PETA so far is known for still continuously wearing leaves as fashion statements.
Style and fashion through the ages is prescribed depending on the society, culture and lifestyle. Remember how at first there was no bra, and then an ingenious woman took her sewing skills to create the first ones fashioned from ribbons and a handkerchief. Years of constant innovations in able to provide the support and comfort that is now the bra have in this decade been set aside by the likes of Britney Spears and Cameron Diaz who seem to favor the old fashioned way of dressing. I wonder if any of the two have tried wearing fig leaves though. As aforementioned, early man chose animal skin in order to protect them from the weather elements, the creation of bra's empowered women into working in the same environment as men. Jeans were created as work clothes that provided protection while still allowing movement. To date jeans are now staples in any person's closet.
You see fashion trends is merely a cycle, PETA with wearing lettuce leaves, Britney braless, Naomi Campbell's fur wearing, phone smacking barbaric ways is a sign that history does repeat itself. Vamp red lipstick a la Ms Monroe has resurfaced, the pin up girl look being perfected by pop idol Christina Aguilera and model Dita Von Tese. Jackie O sunglasses that occupy half your face and saucer sized buttons for coats are fall 2007's fashion trend. Sienna Miller and Kate Moss with hippy dippy looks and trashy drugged out rocker boytoys included. The Olsen twins with their bohemian chic that often makes them look like bag ladies crossed with hobbits. No offense Frodo. I don't think you'd fit into gorgeous Loubotins though with that big feet you own and Hobbit food would probably be too messy for Channel purses and totes.
Then there's celebutante Paris Hilton effectively epitomizing that rags and riches can mix and match with her designer pieces which she easily trashes. Victoria Beckham in her chameleon wardrobe that can very well rival Madonna's ever changing, always adapting fashion style. The price tags, flamboyant design and attitude seem to make fashion trends more popular than ever. Style and trend roots come from mans need to be able to adapt to the environment, the weather conditions and the lifestyle create clothing needs. The only difference with trends from then and now would possibly be the innovations in materials and equipment utilized in creating such trendy pieces.
